During the past 6 weeks my local poker room at Ebro Greyhound Park has been holding a promotion. The highest hand during certain 30-minute periods receive tournament chips. The more high hands you make and more tournament chips you accumulate. Each week a tournament is held for those players where the top 10 quality for the finals. I qualified twice, carrying 175,5000 tournament chips with me into the finals on 28 Oct. I entered the day 5th in chips out of 39 players.
