No flash photography was allowed inside and my pictures came out terrible. It was told that the man who hired Michelangelo to carve this piece thought the nose was too big and asked the master to chisel it down. Michelangelo took some marble dust and made as if he was working on the nose while dropping the dust. The owner was then pleased with the new nose.
