This was the most popular and most common new little car, called the Smart Car. The 2-seater comes in all sorts of cool colors. They're so small you can front park along streets where parallel parking is required. I asked a driver how much and he said 21,000,000 lira. The exchange rate was about 2,250 lira to the dollar, so it was just under $10,000. Now Cynthia wants one, but you can't import them into the States.
