This was by far the largest race event Cynthia has entered. While some other events may have had more participants they also had marathon and half-marathon events. This was a single 5K event. She's all smile as she picks a place behind the starting line in the huge crowd. Racers were fitted with timing chips on their sneakers to record their times. Watches and other timing devices were not allowed on the course.
